Maknetic<\/strong><\/a> is a photography studio<\/strong> that wanted to boost its yearbook and school photography campaign\u2014usually held between October and December\u2014and for which Exyt Control<\/a> developed a custom digital solution<\/strong> that is definitely changing the way images are managed.<\/p>\n

School photography in the digital age<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Do you remember those group photos of the whole class when there was always a class clown who said something silly right before the flash went off? Or the individual photos. The photographer always positioned us with our heads tilted, as if we had stiff necks. Apparently, it was the fashion at the time because we all looked the same.<\/p>\n

In the pre-digital or analog era, students received a complete package of photos in various sizes, which their parents then selected. They paid for the ones they wanted and returned the rest.<\/p>\n

However, in some cases, some “street-smart” kids made photocopies of the photos and then returned them or even kept them without paying.<\/p>\n

Times have definitely changed, and Maknetic understood this and wanted to create its own digital platform to respond to the current needs and characteristics of the market, improving image selection management and facilitating buying and selling.<\/p>\n

Digital photos are preferred over printed ones.<\/p>\n

The process is streamlined. With photos available on the platform quickly, parents can buy, download, or send them to be printed quickly, easily, and directly.<\/p>\n

Non-payments are avoided. All photos are watermarked. Payment is easily made by credit card for later download and enjoyment.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, we contribute to sustainability by mitigating the environmental impact of our products and services through environmentally responsible operations.<\/p>\n

With this platform, only the photos that will actually be used are printed<\/strong>, avoiding wasted resources.<\/p>\n

Although we have been mainly talking about school or academic photography, because it was the market niche that Maknetic wanted to exploit at the time, the platform adapts to all types of photographic reports:<\/p>\n

    1. An Excel database<\/strong> is created containing the client’s email address (whether it’s the student’s parent or anyone else). Of course, this data is processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act.<\/li>\n
    2. This database is integrated into the platform and allows for the automatic, simple, and quick sending of emails.<\/li>\n
    3. The client receives an email informing them that photos of themselves, their event, or their child are available, which they can preview, purchase, and download if they wish.<\/li>\n
    4. This email includes a link so they can go directly to the photos.<\/li>\n
    5. Clicking this link will open a menu with several fully customizable options for each case.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      For example, in the case of graduation photos, parents can access their child’s profile and see all the available photo sessions. If they have more children, they can also…They will also appear. Within the photo albums, you will find different photos in various sizes: passport, individual, group, medium-sized for framing, among others.<\/p>\n

      When you click on any of the photos, it enlarges so you can see it clearly and decide if it interests you. However, all photos appear with watermarks.<\/p>\n

      From here, the customer can choose the photos they like best and complete the typical online purchase<\/strong> process we are used to:<\/p>\n

      • Add the products to the shopping cart.<\/li>\n
      • Enter your card details.<\/li>\n
      • Complete the payment process.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Once this process is complete, the watermarks on the purchased photos will disappear, and you can download them. You also have the option to have them printed, if you wish.<\/p>\n
